Norway’s RAGNAROK, a band that has been active for over twenty years on the Black Metal scene, have completed work on their eighth full-length album, which is set to be released in early 2016 on Agonia Records. Recorded, mixed and mastered at the Endarker Studio in Sweden by MARDUK‘s Devo, the album will be titled “Psychopathology”.
Founder and frontman Jontho had this to say about fans can expect from it: “Your wait will finally come to an end in 2016 when we release “Psychopathology”, our eighth full-length album. I can say with absolute certainty that this album will be the best in RAGNAROK’s career to date. It is the result of dedication, hard work, and the musical skills of our lineup, and is the next stage in the band’s development, both musically and lyrically. “Psychopathology” is about to unleash total chaos upon you as it invites you to dive deeper into the dark recesses of the human mind”.
This will be the first album in RAGNAROK‘s history that doesn’t feature founder Jontho on drums. Having taken over the role of frontman, his place behind the drum kit is taken by DAUDEN drummer Malignant, who joined the band in 2014. Bolverk, is on guitars, and DezeptiCunt makes his swansong appearance with the band on bass as he leaves to concentrate on new projects.
Commenting about the band’s future plans and DezeptiCunt‘s departure, Jontho said: “Shortly after completing the recording of our latest album, our bass player DezeptiCunt informed us that he would be leaving the band to concentrate on a new project. As a recording and touring band, RAGNAROK requires 100% commitment from its members and at this point neither he nor RAGNAROK felt that he would be able to give both bands that necessary commitment. We would like to thank him for the eight years he was with us and wish him all the best for the future.
“Going forward we will be concentrating all our energies on promoting the new album, and plan to take our time choosing the right bass player to take his place, so in the meantime we will be using a session musician for the upcoming live shows”.
DezeptiCunt himself explained: “I have had eight good years with RAGNAROK, both in the studio and live, but the time has come, as indeed it does for many musicians, to move on and explore new avenues. I know it might seem strange that I announced my departure from the band just as they are about to release their new album, but the opportunity came up for me to join a brand new project whose music I liked immediately, and whose ideas greatly appealed to me, and of course, being able to join them right at the start just as they begin rehearsals to take the band live was something I very much wanted to be a part of.
“At the same time I felt that I wouldn’t be able to give 100% of my attention to each of the two demanding projects, and therefore I decided that it would be fairer for all concerned if I was to cut my ties with RAGNAROK straight away, so that they can move forward without any uncertainty. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to wish RAGNAROK all the best for the future, and much success for the new album”.
RAGNAROK‘s next confirmed live appearances:
05.03.2016 – Sequane Fest VIII, France
20-21.05.2016 – Steelfest Open Air, Finland

December 2015, Ukraine — Modern oriental metal band IGNEA has released a debut video on the track Alga with a full symphonic orchestra. In less than 1 week the video has gained over 10,000 views on YouTube, without extra promotion and despite small experience of the band.
Alga means ‘forward’ in Crimean Tatar language. IGNEA has dedicated the song to Crimean Tatars. In fact, the track is sung on behalf of this people. The peculiarity of Alga lies, of course, in featuring a full orchestra, which creates live symphonic sound and has an obvious advantage, contrary to synth sounds usually used by young bands.
Before Alga, IGNEA has been acting under another title — Parallax. Within Parallax, the band has released an EP Sputnik and a joint track Petrichor with Yossi Sassi (ex-guitarist of Orphaned Land). The band believes that renaming will bring another era for IGNEA and is setting up a track list for their first ever full-length album.
Mysterious French Black Metal duo, SPEKTR, are gearing up to release a new album entitled “The Art to Disappear” on January 29th via Agonia Records. SPEKTR takes delight in delivering an infinitely dark, at times psychotic aura, and transmuting the Black Metal reins into a loose form. Shrouded in a veil of vocalless, industrial and ambient-infected secrecy, the duo’s music stands as a metaphore for a trip into the unconfortable uknown.
The band commented on the new album: “The Art to disappear is the 5th gate opened on SPEKTR multiple realities, a fifth Arcane to a demanding Experience where Putrefaction is a necessity to Sublimation. A noxious feel of violent reaction generates under and over tones exploration from the terrifying to the fascinating. Never has it been such Intangible in a yet grim and solid audio Manifestation alledging that what you hear, like what you see is just a small corridor narrowing a larger Grand Design – Thus, the Art as the incarnation disappearance behind the Absolute. We have seen illusion and reality began to overlap and fuse… the line between them begins to disappear”.

Betunizer, OTK, Lyssa Cargo Gallery (kotviště na Rašínově nábřeží)
6. prosince 2015
Workoholici? Tvrdě pracující kapela? Šílenci? Všechny možnosti jsou správně.
Trio z Valencie přijede do Prahy představit svoji poslední desku Enciende tu lomo, která vyšla právě teď na respektovaném katalánském labelu B-Core. Společnost jim budou dělat přední členové klubu přátel Iberského poloostrova a kmenové kapely vydavatelství Silver Rocket: OTK a Lyssa.
Napadlo ma do klipu vložiť vety: \\\”Človek, pamätaj! Nech ti to cez bolesť nemusí pripomínať DIABOL!\\\” Zamýšľal som sa totiž, koľko toho ešte zlého musí človek vykonať jeden druhému, aby všetka bolesť ustala.
Kosmoskampf, the fourth full length by Turkish Satanic Black Metal band BLLIIGGHHTTED is to be released through London-based Merdumgiriz Records on December 24th.
The audial part of the Kaoskampf project, which also includes a 16mm film, is 4 epic songs of purist black metal in its most innovative and spiritual form divide the 44-minute album. Emir‘s signature bassy vocals reign over a technical chaos of his slithering hypnotic guitars and Merdumgiriz‘ off the wall explosive drumming. It would be just to claim that these three musicians who have been continuously banned from every platform and circle for their shining of truth has reached their pinnacle in audial craftsmanship with this album. The music takes many forms including doom lead parts stitched together by fast and relentless black metal to strong melodic death metal marches. This album, along with its poetic lyrics of chaos myth that take its essence from the Chaoskampf theme and runs with it in the timeless self exploration and destruction of mankind that is “theology”. This raw but powerful as fuck production will be released through Merdumgiriz where Emir hand makes all the tapes, all this brings to mind the best of underground times in the 90ies. The innovation is embedded in tradition just as light is embedded into blight, this album is an epitome of doubt, hΩpe(lessness) and devotion thereof.
Formed by Ruahanathanas known for her work in VIRANESIR. BLLIIGGHHTTED is a psychodrama for exploring the history and philosophy of dark spirituality through correlations and juxtapositions of tradition and degeneration in essence and form. Current members include filmmaker-musician Emir Togrul of YAYLA and the idiosyncratic drummer Merdümgiriz. The project is releasing the fourth album through Merdumgiriz Records December 24th.
As with all his work on Merdumgiriz Records, Emir Toğrul‘s grand vision, each copy of Kosmoskampf CD, Tape, t-shirt and patch will be made by hand in the artisanal style.
