The World They Took Over, the new full length by Icelandic Progressive Extreme Metal band Show Me Wolves will be available through London-based Merdumgiriz Records on January 16th 2016.
8 songs of technical swirling and heaviness divide the 38-minute album. The violent throaty vocals are creating trees upon the mountains of technical guitars and thick drums. The music is an extreme progressive metal art that is totally a thing on its own. It is seamlessly connecting many styles of extreme art into a dissonant dance of strings. There is a good deal of emotions explored throughout the album of varying ideas and tools, but with more anger than before. The synths are an addition to the project that fits its ethereal music perfectly. The production is very clean yet super strong which makes for a very strong experience. This is a very innovative album that is a well worthy addition to the madness of Merdumgiriz releases. It is worth mentioning the strong and unique character of the person making this album that far surpasses the so called “dark” musicians.
Show Me Wolves is a solo project that was created in February 2015 by Hörður Lúðvíksson, currently located in Reykjavík/Iceland. Hörður have been involved in the Icelandic underground music scene in bands like Offerings, Provoke and is currently a guitarist for the hardcore/grindcore band Grit Teeth. The band Show Me Wolves does not think much about following a specific music genre but tries to stay within the black/death/progmetal scene.
As with all his work on Merdumgiriz Records, Emir Toğrul‘s grand vision, each copy of The World They Took Over CD, Tape, t-shirt and patch will be made by hand in the artisanal style.

UNDERGANG (oldschool death metal, Dánsko)
Trojice z dánského hlavního města Kodaně, která vznikla v roce 2008 na troskách death/black/crust kapely REALM OF CHAOS. Jejich současný poctivě hnilobný metal vás rázem přenese na přelom 80. a 90. let. Chytlavé kytarové riffy protkané zlem, se ženou neúprosně vpřed, podpořené brutální basovou linkou a totálně záhrobním vokálem. To vše ve valivém středním tempu poctivých death metalových bicí zaobalené do atmosféry mlžného oparu právě opadající hřbitovní mlhy. Pokud máš rád styl kapel jako Autopsy, Rottrevore nebo ranou tvorbu Incantation, Grave či Obituary, „vítej v klubu“. Během sedmiletého působení mají na svém kontě několik split singlů, (např. s americkými Funebrarum, který mimochodem vyšel na jihočeském labelu Doomentia rec. a je samozřejmě „sold out“ ), EPček a dem a hlavně tři velké desky: „Indhentetafdøden“ (2009), „Til døden os Miller“ (2012) a stále novotou vonící „Dødenlægerallesår“ z roku 2015. Právě novinka je velmi kladně hodnocena mezinárodními metalovými médii. Frontman David Torturdød působí, nebo působil, ještě kromě Realm of Chaos ve smečkách Phrenelith, Reefer či Wormridden (projekt s Tanašim Tanakou z japoských ANATOMIA – doporučuji k poslechu!!!). UNDERGANG vám naservírují poctivý střednětempý oldschool death metal v té nejšpinavější podobě. Připravte se však na koktejl neskutečné energie, který dokáží namíchat právě a jen pánové ze Severských luhů a hájů. Chorobný, tíživý a zapáchající metal, který ocení jak fandové evropské, tak i zámořské death metalové školy. O tom, že se nejedná o žádná ořezávátka, svědčí fakt, že UNDERGANG v posledním období svého působení hrají s takovými jmény, jako jsou např. AUTOPSY, REPULSION, BRUTAL TRUTH, DECEASED či NOMINON. Týden po koncertě v Písku zahrají i na hvězdami nabitém evropském Maryland Deathfestu.
Zatím poměrně neznámé jméno na death metalové scéně. O to víc je jejich death metal přesvědčivý. DEIQUISITOR pocházejí z dánského města Ringsted a jedná se o ostřílenou trojici muzikantů, kteří prošli mnoha dánskými kapelami extrémních žánrů (např. : Luciation, Nastran, Ogdru Jahad, Blodfest, Legion, Sadomator, Doinus, Purification Kommando, Wargoatcult, Solhverv nebo Fallen Angel.) DEIQUISITOR mají na kontě jedno demo z roku 2013 a především první EP „Hexagon Vortex“, které vyšlo loni u labelu Ancient Darkness Productions. Na tomtéž labelu vychází v příštím roce také jejich čerstvě nahraný 11-ti songový materiál na CD, vinylu i na kazetě. Klasický death metal, který vás semele a dá vzpomenout na staré dobré klasiky smrtícího kovu.
Tuzemská thrash metalová jednička současnosti pokaždé dokáže strhnout dav k divokému mosh pitu a stage divingu. Na domácím podiu to pak platí dvojnásob. Kapela je na scéně 13 let a po personálních změnách v loňském roce (Iny zpěv a Skalík baskytara) jsou LAHAR v ještě lepší formě, než kdykoliv předtím. Energický, ultra rychlý a všem dobře známý thrash metal s českými texty postaven především na skladbách z posledních nahrávek: „Umění strachu“, „Až přijde čas“ a splitu s Exorcizphobií. V setlistu se možná objeví nějaký ten nový vál z materiálu na kterém momentálně kluci makají. Pro oživení play listu, ale zazní určitě i něco z ranější tvorby. Zažít LAHAR na domácím hřišti je stejné, jako jít na koncert v kalifornské Bay Area. Thrash!
Tři oldschool maniaci, kteří sypou přímočarý death/grind starý školy v duchu raných CARCASS, TERRORIZER, REPULSION nebo NAPALM DEATH. Na pódiu se střídají dva vokály basáka (kytara v Lahar) a kytaristy, vše podpořené kulometnou palbou zpoza bicích (Aleš – ex-Grex, ex-Mururoa). Z celé kapely srší neskutečná energie, prvotřídní porce extrémní hudby i vždy dobrá nálada. V roce 2013 vydali split album s B.T.C.W., které dokazuje jejich kvalitu avšak v setlistu mají mnoho nových a ještě lepších válů, které jíž nahrané čekají na finální mix v Hellsoundu .V Písku už nám nehráli pěkně dlouho, takže – je se na co těšit.
Blind Guardian (Německo) Support: Orphaned Land (Izrael) 20. 12. 2015, 19:00 MeetFactory, Praha
Blind Guardian, jeden ze základních kamenů power speed metalu, po čase opět navštíví Prahu. Ve smíchovském klubu MeetFactory představí své poslední album „Beyond The Red Mirror“. Koncert otevře izraelská kapela Orphaned Land.
Průkopníci power metalu Blind Guardian vznikli západoněmeckém Krefeldu polovině 80. let. Osobitý skladatelský přístup, nezaměnitelný zpěv Hansiho Kürsche a inspirace tvorbou J. R. R. Tolkiena se brzy staly poznávacím znamením kapely.
Za třicet let existence vydali Blind Guardian desítku alb, z nichž to poslední „Beyond The Red Mirror“ vyšlo letos v lednu. Na novinku čekali fanoušci dlouho, od vydání předchozího alba „At The Edge Of Time“ totiž uběhlo více než pět let. Aktuálnímu albu předcházel pilotní singl Twilight Of The Gods, který podle frontmana je ukázkou klasických Blind Guardian. “Je to tradiční píseň, která vás chytí a okouzlí nejepičtějším a nejchytlavějším refrénem, který jsme kdy napsali,” popisuje Kürsch.
Pražský koncert tentokrát pro Blind Guardian otevřou izraelští Orphaned Land, kteří se nebojí do své heavy hudby zakomponovat orientální prvky, doom metal nebo folk.

Kromě line-upu, kt. již teď vypadá hezky, přibude oproti minulým ročníkům i literární stage, kino a zvýší se i koncentrace vizuálního a výtvarného umění.
Máme velikou radost z každého potvrzeného interpreta a věřte, či ne, přibude ještě vícero zajímavých jmen.

Co byste čekali od kapely, která nemá žádnou desku delší než 35 minut a průměrná délka tracku jsou zhruba 2 minuty? Buď grindcore, nebo hodně úderný a naštvaný hardcore. Přesně takoví The Rodeo Idiot Engine jsou. Rychlí, hlasití a naštvaní. To celé zabalené do chaoticky rozbitých pasáží. Jestli škatulka mathcore k něčemu sedí jak prdel na hrnec, tak k nim. Představte si ty části The Dillinger Escape Plan, kdy si říkáte, že tohle už jde přes hranu. Tak takhle hrajou The Rodeo Idiot Engine celou dobu.
Trnavská kapela, která si už delší dobu úspěšně buduje svoje teplé místečko nejen na Slovensku, ale i s přesahem za hranice. Skupina tvořená ostřílenými muzikanty, kteří v této sestavě pustili svou hudební fantazii na plné obrátky. Spojování, míchání a destrukce hudebních stylů je jejich cestou a očividně je baví. Pokud máte rádi tvrdou muziku, která má energii, ale zároveň nadhled, a k tomu ještě foukací harmoniku, tak si Fishartcollection určite nenechte ujít. Bude to jízda!
Norway’s RAGNAROK, a band that has been active for over twenty years on the Black Metal scene, have completed work on their eighth full-length album, which is set to be released in early 2016 on Agonia Records. Recorded, mixed and mastered at the Endarker Studio in Sweden by MARDUK‘s Devo, the album will be titled “Psychopathology”.
Founder and frontman Jontho had this to say about fans can expect from it: “Your wait will finally come to an end in 2016 when we release “Psychopathology”, our eighth full-length album. I can say with absolute certainty that this album will be the best in RAGNAROK’s career to date. It is the result of dedication, hard work, and the musical skills of our lineup, and is the next stage in the band’s development, both musically and lyrically. “Psychopathology” is about to unleash total chaos upon you as it invites you to dive deeper into the dark recesses of the human mind”.
This will be the first album in RAGNAROK‘s history that doesn’t feature founder Jontho on drums. Having taken over the role of frontman, his place behind the drum kit is taken by DAUDEN drummer Malignant, who joined the band in 2014. Bolverk, is on guitars, and DezeptiCunt makes his swansong appearance with the band on bass as he leaves to concentrate on new projects.
Commenting about the band’s future plans and DezeptiCunt‘s departure, Jontho said: “Shortly after completing the recording of our latest album, our bass player DezeptiCunt informed us that he would be leaving the band to concentrate on a new project. As a recording and touring band, RAGNAROK requires 100% commitment from its members and at this point neither he nor RAGNAROK felt that he would be able to give both bands that necessary commitment. We would like to thank him for the eight years he was with us and wish him all the best for the future.
“Going forward we will be concentrating all our energies on promoting the new album, and plan to take our time choosing the right bass player to take his place, so in the meantime we will be using a session musician for the upcoming live shows”.
DezeptiCunt himself explained: “I have had eight good years with RAGNAROK, both in the studio and live, but the time has come, as indeed it does for many musicians, to move on and explore new avenues. I know it might seem strange that I announced my departure from the band just as they are about to release their new album, but the opportunity came up for me to join a brand new project whose music I liked immediately, and whose ideas greatly appealed to me, and of course, being able to join them right at the start just as they begin rehearsals to take the band live was something I very much wanted to be a part of.
“At the same time I felt that I wouldn’t be able to give 100% of my attention to each of the two demanding projects, and therefore I decided that it would be fairer for all concerned if I was to cut my ties with RAGNAROK straight away, so that they can move forward without any uncertainty. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to wish RAGNAROK all the best for the future, and much success for the new album”.

Agonia Records are proud to announce the worldwide signing of Canadian melodic thrash metal powerhouse, THREAT SIGNAL. The band finished recording their long awaited fourth studio album and follow-up to their 2011 self-titled effort. The new album, “Disconnect”, is scheduled for release in the first half of 2016.
Since their critically acclaimed debut offering “Under Reprisal” (2006), which won the Canadian Recording Of The Year Award at the Hamilton Music Awards, THREAT SIGNAL became internationally recognised as one of the best modern acts in thrash metal. Their latest two installments, the intense “Vigilance” (2009) and reinvented “Threat Signal” (2011), have both met with unrelenting hype, with each entering the Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart, at #32 and #26.
THREAT SIGNAL came to life in 2003 and immediately began generating growing interest within the metal community. Their debut song “Rational Eyes” hit #1 on the international music website GarageBand.com and maintained that position for over two years. As a result, the young band signed to Nuclear Blast and started intensive touring, having performed with act’s such as Children Of Bodom, Soilwork, Motorhead, Saxon, Opeth, Kataklysm, Hatebreed, Epica and Arch Enemy.
THREAT SIGNAL combines the complexity of thrash metal, with a more contemporary groove sound involving technical rhythms, and melodic musical passages. The band is led by frontman Jon Howard, who commented on the signing:

December 2015, Ukraine — Modern oriental metal band IGNEA has released a debut video on the track Alga with a full symphonic orchestra. In less than 1 week the video has gained over 10,000 views on YouTube, without extra promotion and despite small experience of the band.
Alga means ‘forward’ in Crimean Tatar language. IGNEA has dedicated the song to Crimean Tatars. In fact, the track is sung on behalf of this people. The peculiarity of Alga lies, of course, in featuring a full orchestra, which creates live symphonic sound and has an obvious advantage, contrary to synth sounds usually used by young bands.
Before Alga, IGNEA has been acting under another title — Parallax. Within Parallax, the band has released an EP Sputnik and a joint track Petrichor with Yossi Sassi (ex-guitarist of Orphaned Land). The band believes that renaming will bring another era for IGNEA and is setting up a track list for their first ever full-length album.
