    TZ

15th September marks the release date of an exceptional offering by Poland’s Odraza. The brand new MCD titled ‘Kir’ (Polish for ‘pall’) features the live recording of the group’s performance at Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory – The Museum of the City of Cracow. A single instrumental piece made its way to the record. Scoring around twenty minutes, the track has been commisioned for the Museum’s event ‘Pamiętaj z nami’ (‘Remember with us’), commemorating the damages of World War II. It’s probably the first ever instance of Black Metal being manifested during an event organized in by Polish public institution.

The recording has been mixed by M. of No Solace, while the graphic design was done by Bartek Rogalewicz. The digipack release will feature an insert as well as the visual presentation shown at the band’s performance.

  • American ÉCORCHÉ’s Necrotic Minds Out Now

    1.8.2015

    TZ

    Écorché - Necrotic Minds

Necrotic Minds, the new full length by American Experimental Industrial Metal band ÉCORCHÉ is now available through London-based Merdumgiriz Records.

The 43 minute album is divided by 5 songs of experimental industrial metal. Distorted Filosofem era BURZUM vocals delivered upon sharp tremolo guitars as propaganda to an apocalyptic order. The music takes many forms including fast black metal styled blast/guitar madnesses to slow nightmarish breaks with the insanity of mechanic drumming holding together this mega agent of desolation. There is a good deal of sound effects and variety of guitar and bass leads that keeps you guessing as to what’s coming next in this torturous nightmare. The last two songs are both 13- minute industrial ambient pieces of utter madness. The production is very strong and raw which makes this experience a total cinematic time end. This is a very innovative album that is a well worthy addition to the madness of Merdumgiriz releases.

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Écorché combine black metal with electronic, Industrial and atmospheric music for a sound that defies comparison! Écorché is a two man band consisting of JGW on vocals, guitars, synths and programming and Wolfman on bass, synths, and samples. Formed in August of 2014, the roots of Écorché were actually laid down much earlier. JGW and Wolfman played a few shows in Philadelphia about 10 years beforehand under the name Écorché, though the sound was quite different – more akin to early 90’s Industrial music. Re-formed in August of 2014, they have kept their Industrial roots, but hardened things up by fusing it with Black Metal and also adding atmospheric elements for a truly unique sound!

As with his work on all Merdumgiriz releases, each Necrotic Minds CD is handmade by Emir Togrul (YAYLA, ViRANESiR, BLLiiGGHHTTED); who sprays the discs, cuts and inserts the prints for the jewel case, hand-paints the t-shirts and patches and pretty much makes everything from scratch.

  • Arachnopohobia Records news

    31.7.2015

    TZ

The cooperation between Arachnophobia Records and Thy Worshiper is flourishing.

Along with the vinyl edition of “Popiół”, we will bring you the newest mini album entitled “Ozimina”. Nearly 40 minutes of music, 6 tracks (including a blast from the past – “Wśród Cieni i Mgieł” re-recorded), in the band’s well known style, yet somewhat refreshened. Release in digisleeve CD, graphic layout by the band’s vocalist – Anna Malarz.

    Ulcer news

After well-received “Grant Us Death” (Pulverised/Cyclone Empire), Ulcer from Lublin is finishing their second full-length entitled “And So Is Black”. The album was recorded at Roslyn Studio and at the moment it’s being mixed by Marcin Rybicki of Left Hand Sounds (Bloodthirst, In Twilight’s Embrace).

Lucass (guitar): It’s more diversified and less obvious than its predecessor, but the fans of old school sound should have any problems hearing our influences. It was written and recorded in old-fashioned and natural way, inspired by what we love – classic Metal of Death and works as undisguised tribute to Autopsy, Dismember and other bands of 90s era.

The artwork is being prepared by Mentalporn, while Kontamination Design is working on the layout.

  • Turkish Satanists BLLIIGGHHTTED’s No Temple Out Now

    31.7.2015

    TZ

    Blliigghhtted - No Temple

No Temple, the new full length by Turkish Satanic Black Metal band BLLIIGGHHTTED is now available through London-based Merdumgiriz Records.

The 53 minute album is divided by 11 songs of purist black metal in its most innovative and spiritual form. Emir’s signature bassy vocals reign over a technical chaos of razor blade guitars and his fast and explosive drumming. The music takes many forms including slow sludgy breaks to doom metal lead parts stitched together by fast and relentless black metal and psychotic guitar solos. The 14- minute ambient ending is also worth mentioning for its use of obscure synthesizers to close off the chaos with a somber maze. This album, along with its philosophical lyrics of chaos myth that include lots of subtexts from the history of theology stitched together to explore a universal and timeless evil embedded into humanity in a multicosmic level and raw but powerful as fuck production will be released through Merdumgiriz where Emir hand makes all the tapes, all this brings to mind the best of underground times in the 90ies. The innovation is embedded in tradition just as light is embedded into blight, this album is an epitome of devotion, hΩpe(lessness) and practice.

Formed by Ruahanathanas known for her work in VIRANESIR. BLLIIGGHHTTED is a psychodrama for exploring the history and philosophy of dark spirituality through correlations and juxtapositions of tradition and degeneration in essence and form. Current members include filmmaker-musician Emir Togrul of YAYLA and the idiosyncratic drummer Merdümgiriz. The project is releasing the first album to be made solely by Emir Togrul through Merdumgiriz Records July 29th.

As with his work on YAYLA, Emir Toğrul’s grand vision, each No Temple CD, Tape, t-shirt and patch is handmade; Emir sprays the discs, cuts and inserts the prints for the jewel case, jacket and tape making all non-machined parts from scratch. All current and upcoming merch comes to fans direct from the hand of the creator himself; there is no limit to the number of “No Temple” merch, as long as the man is alive. Toğrul is also co-owner of Merdumgiriz.

  • TEMPLE OF BAAL share new track and album details

    30.7.2015

    TZ

    Temple of Baal - Mysterium

French Black/Death metal veterans, TEMPLE OF BAAL, have set “Mysterium” as the title of their next full-length album, due on October 2nd via Agonia Records, and “Divine Scythe” as the first single to be released. The song, which features guest vocals by Georges Balafas (Drowning, Eibon, Decline Of The I) is available for listening at this link:

    https://youtu.be/gi2yqmKvUtw

In their over 15 years-long career, marked by four full-lengths and numerous split releases, the highly respected French coven TEMPLE OF BAAL have evolved from a primitive Black/Thrash outfit into a monstrous Black/Death Metal entity of epic dimensions. “Verses Of Fire”, the last album (2013), was acclaimed worldwide as a milestone in the band’s career, allowing TEMPLE OF BAAL to perform at notable festivals such as Hellfest, Motocultor, Summer Breeze, Kings Of Black Metal and Speyer Grey Mass. The formation also played selected shows in France, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, sharing the stage with the likes of Watain,Antaeus etc.

As the album’s title suggests, “Mysterium” dwells on the topics of spirituality and religiosity. “From the opener, Lord Of Knowledge And Death, to the closing number, All In Your Name, every inch of this record drips with it” – comments the band.“Mysterium can be seen a collection of meditations and prayers over the mysteries of Faith, directed towards the gods of the left hand path”.

Musically, TEMPLE OF BAAL‘s Black Metal roots are back in full force, allowing the atmospheres to develop through songs of epic proportions, mostly clocking around 8 or 9 minutes each. “Mysterium” covers a wide musical specter, from slower ritualistic parts, to furious blasts and thrashy riffs or the surprisingly melodic choirs of “Magna Gloria Tua” and “Hosanna”, each song taking the listener into a spiritual journey, evolving through various climates, keeping the listener’s mind awake. “I never got that much into monotonous, uniform albums” – says band’s leader Amduscias. “I like music to take my mind from one point to another. Even if I have a strict view of what TEMPLE OF BAAL should be, stagnation is not something I’m very fond of.”

The recording of “Mysterium” took place in Hybreed Studios with long-time sound engineer, Andrew Guillotin (Glorior Belli, Mourning Dawn), who managed to capture the band’s trademark massive sounding, magnifying it through a warm and organic production. Cover artwork and layout have been prepared by David Fitt(Aosoth, Secrets of the Moon, Svart Crown) and Maria Yakhnenko.

Paying tribute to their old school roots, TEMPLE OF BAAL covers Bathory for the second time, with the song “The Golden Walls Of Heaven” closing the vinyl edition as a bonus track.

    “Mysterium” will be available in:

  • In Twilight’s Embrace – new album soon

    17.7.2015

    TZ

It is time. „The Grim Muse“, the third opus of In Twilight’s Embrace will be unleashed on 15th September via Arachnophobia Records.

With its release planned for this summer’s final days, „The Grim Muse“ contains the band’s most introspective material to date. At the same time, the album finds In Twilight’s Embrace at the peak of ferocity and restlessness. Captured by bass player Marcin Rybicki at his own Left Hand Sound, the record showcases the rabid take on Death Metal, a dismal sense of melody and advance into ever darker territories. Driven by bitterness, disillusion and doubt, „The Grim Muse“ is the defining work of In Twilight’s Embrace. The venture is about to begin.

    In Twilight's Embrace

    „Into the dark we wander,
    With torches in hands
Yet no god in our hearts“

Cover artwork by Robert A. von Ritter, layout by Kontamination Design. The album will be available in a classic jewelcase CD format.
