Pivovarnický příběh poskvrněný nezdarem, odříkáním, modlitbami a smrtí Vám převypráví pivovarník, chasník a několik mnichů v podobě Pána Morbivoda, Blackoshe, Tomáše Chylíka, Zdeňka Černého a hlavního aktéra Khaabluse. Nahrávalo se v divadle Descent pod taktovkou šediváka z minimálním pivním břuchem Blackoshe.
Na obalu se nadřel Moonroot.
Dále se připravuje webová prezentace projektu, videoklip a dle posledních zpráv bychom mohli narazit na ojedinělou živou prezentaci projektu PAČESS během letních festivalů.
Preparations continue for the release of SUNN O)))’s upcoming LP, Kannon, to be released this December via Southern Lord, and this week the album’s cover art and preorder options have been released.
Consisting of three self-titled pieces of a triadic whole, the roots to SUNN O)))’s new album trace deeply into the sessions of their 2009-released Monoliths & Dimensions LP and very recent collaborative recordings with Ulver (Terrestrials, 2014) and Scott Walker (Soused, 2015), culminated and fully realized this year. Recorded and mixed with SUNN O)))’s close colleague and co-producer Randall Dunn at Studio Litho, Aleph and Avast!, Kannon is as always composed around the immense guitar and bass interplay of founders Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson, and includes performances by long term allies and collaborators Attila Csihar, Oren Ambarchi, Rex Ritter, Steve Moore and others.
The literal representation of Kannon is as an aspect of Buddha: commonly known as the Guanyin Bodhisattva (Chinese: 觀音菩薩) amongst a plurality of other forms. There is a rich lineage behind this idea tracing back through many Asian belief systems, with as many names and cultural personifications of the idea.
We are pleased to share some new insight from artist Angela Lafont Bolliger on her inspiration for the creation of the sculpture for Kannon’s cover artwork, which closely relates to this representation of Kannon:
“I was working on a visual concept inspired by Gian Lorenzo Berninis “Ecstasy of Saint Teresa” (a life-sized Italian baroque sculpture in white marble) and had shared a short description about this project. I took a great interest in the conceptual thought behind the album…
…SUNN O)))’s compositions are minimal but intensely sculptural in depth and detail. This was my inspiration and it was important to me to transcend that idea into the sculpture I would create for the album artwork. Stephen and I both loved the idea that this sculpture could be something really ancient, like a comet — yet also indefinable and timeless…
…I started with an intense research of Guanyin, the imagery, the history, and immersed myself completely into the subject. I then put together a very detailed presentation of ideas… we came to a unanimous decision and went for an idea of “the abstraction of the God of Mercy”. It started by sculpting different black reflective materials, which I then combined with ancient rocks and crystals allowing the surface to be rich and to be viewed as something unseen – an undulating form representing Guanyin’s many hands and heads…
…Highlights were the creation of the sculpture, different materials with versatile textures and creating a tactile object, a sensuous, meditative process. During the photographic shoot of the sculpture, every glossy highlight and detail was amplified. Rotating the sculpture a completely different form would emerge through the lens. This is what fascinates me in art – creation can surprise and transform.”
Live performances in conjunction with the release of Kannon include SUNN O))) presents at Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands, running from November 19th through 22nd. The festival will feature sets from Southern Lord labelmates Goatsnake, Martyrdöd, The Secret, Today Is The Day and BIG | BRAVE, as well as Chelsea Wolfe, Om, Annette Peacock, Benny Maupin, Grumbling Fur, Keiji Haino, Charlemagne Palestine, Marissa Nadler; Demdike Stare, Circuit des Yeux, Bölzer and many more. Dvojitý křest debutových CD. Dvě brněnské metalové formace, ALIA TEMPORA a WOLFARIAN, vás srdečně zvou na společný křest jejich debutových CD. Tato událost se odehraje v rámci druhého ročníku indoorového festivalu Femme Fatale dne 14. 11. 2015 v brněnském klubu Melodka.
ALIA TEMPORA je mladá brněnská kapela, která je charakteristická svým experimentováním s různými styly metalové i elektronické hudby a na koncertech svou energickou show. Při jejich práci na debutovém albu „Digital Cube“ spolupracovali např. s Timo Somersem, kytaristou z kapely Delain.
WOLFARIAN jsou zobrazením hrdinství, severské mytologie, dávných bohů a pohanství. Kombinují převážně melancholické melodie hrané flétnami, houslemi a orchestrální hudbou. Od počátku si prošli vývojem a nahráli své první dějové album „Far Away In The North“, na kterém spolupracovalo mnoho hostů. Jednoho z nich si přivezou i na Femme Fatale.
Druhého ročníku se zúčastní další dvě kapely – IMORTELA z Otrokovic a německá XIPHEA. V rámci doprovodného programu vystoupí i taneční skupina Erínye.

The time of the third eye has come. Ufonaut, the second Entropia album and the successor of widely acclaimed Vesper will be released by Arachnophobia Records in February 2016.
Ufonaut is the result of a three years’ long experimentation and delves within a psychedelic vision of the world lacking peace and divine order. The seven tracks included on the album are proving that the band released itself from any boundaries of convenience and safety of well-known measures, which in return allowed them to create the album filled with madness, anger and disdain for reality that is full of trivial illusions. In terms of music, Ufonaut; is filled with hypnotic riffs based on the bands’ trademark intricate harmonies and drum patterns. The caleidoscopic compositions, full of twists and turns are the legacy of numerous trips within consciousness and inner self.
Reassured that the future of mankind must be psychedelic or there may be none at all, Entropia stands out as zealots of Terrence McKenna’s futuristic vision of the world, demanding the restitution of tribal consciousness and discarding the materialistic civilisation that surrounds us. Rising our heads towards the endless void, we await the incoming answer in silence.

Ze západoamerického Seattlu, města hudby, pochází duo Bell Witch, tj. Dylan Desmond a Jesse Shreibman. Basa a bicí, rytmická sekce jakožto plnohodnotná exkurze do světa nejpomalejších riffů a melodií. Do ráje čistých vokálů a pekla distorze. Tento rok vydaný, teprve druhý počin Four Phantoms vyšel stejně jako debut Longing na prestižním metalovém labelu Profound Lore Records (Portal, Old Man Gloom nebo Agalloch) a posbíral nadšené recenze nejen ve specializovaných hudebních médiích, ale i u těch víc mainstreamových (8.2 na Pitchfork mluví za vše). Jen další důkaz toho, jaký přesah tato konceptuální deska s pouhými čtyřmi tracky má.

Jedenadvacátý ročník festivalu Brutal Assault zná prvního headlinera – legendární americký industrial MINISTRY. Jedna z nejprestižnějších metalových přehlídek na světě opět nabídne pestrou směs žánrů, aby si mohl vybrat každý fanoušek hudebního extrému. Festival se odehraje už tradičně v Josefovské pevnosti u Jaroměře druhý víkend v srpnu.

Pro jistotu ještě připomeňme, že příští Brutal Assault se odehraje v termínu 10. – 13. srpna 2016 opět v jedinečné lokalitě vojenské pevnosti Josefov u Jaroměře. Kromě výše uvedených se můžete těšit na víc než 80 dalších kapel z celého světa.

Batsave parties již dnes patří ke stálicím v programu klubu Basement. Na pravidelně nepravidelných večírcích si stálí návštěvníci i nově příchozí můžou užít DJské sety, postavené na klasikách i nových objevech gothic rockové, post-punkové, deathrockové i dark wave scény. V občasných speciálech se představují i stylově spřízněné kapely.
Aby se vám ani nám netopýří Batsave candrbály neomrzely, zpestří ten listopadový živým vystoupením hned dvě kapely. První potvrzenou byla německá parta Dividing Lines. Pětice z Lipska míchá deathrockové i postpunkové postupy v příjemně osobitých a energických náladách. Marie, Micha, Erich, Sascha a Woody vydali v roce 2014 celovečerní debut “Lonely in the Crowd” u labelu Contra Light Records. Na jejich pražském koncertě však určitě uslyšíme i novinky ze zbrusu nové desky „Wednesday 6PM”, o kterou se starají svorně labely Plastic Bomb, Fairy Dust Records, Manic Depression a Holy Hour.
Stejný večer na stejném místě uvidíte taky rakouskou kapelu Crystal Soda Cream. Theresa, Sebastian a Philipp se hudebnímu světu nejdřív představili v roce 2012 kazetou, která dostala stejné jméno jako nese kapela samotná. Ta už je momentálně rozebraná, ale poslechnout, nebo stáhnout ji za “name your price”, můžete na Bandcampu kapely. O rok později následovalo debutové LP “Escape from Vienna”, jehož název odkazuje na filmovou klasiku Johna Carpentera – “Escape from New York”. Vyšlo u labelu Totally Wired a i jej si můžete poslechnout. Ponořte se do jejich osmdesátkového zvuku a politicky angažované lyriky a doražte omrknout jejich live formu.
Aby toho nebylo málo, postará se o after party další německá akvizice – DJ ZeitUngeist. Jeho jméno vám může být povědomé z tamního festivalu Gothic Pogo. Nebude na to sám. Svůj setlist hitovek do vás totiž pustí také DJ Un5ound, kterého před tím uvidíte i v řadách Dividing Lines válet na kytaru. Ten už roztancoval párty na takových akcích, jako Vanity Noir, nebo Wave Gotik Treffen, takže párty rozhodně bude! Nezapomeňte si poznamenat datum 6. 11. a dorazit do vršovického klubu Basement!

Vrchol letošní koncertní sezony se kvapem blíží! Carcass, Napalm Death, Obituary a Voivod už tento čtvrtek vystoupí v Hale Folimanka. Fanouškům se sál otevře už v 17 hodin. Vstupenky na koncert bude možné zakoupit ještě na místě. Na koncertě se bude prodávat kniha Brutal Assaultu.

Ulver reveal details of a brand new album ATGCLVLSSCAP on new label House Of Mythology January 22nd 2016
House of Mythology proudly presents the new Ulver gatefold double album vinyl (also available on CD), with over 80 minutes worth of material. This album consists of multitracked and studio-enhanced live, mostly improvisational, rock and electronic soundscapes, 2/3 of which has never been heard before.
In Newton’s basic laws of motion – those which lie at the heart of modern physics – the paradox stands that constant velocity is essentially as natural as being at rest. True to form, in the now twenty-two-year-old life of Ulver, only one constant has remained, that being a forward-driving spirit that has moved this mercurial Norwegian-based collective forever through challenges and adventure anew, irrespective of reductive genre pigeonholing. Moreover, their latest voyage into the unknown is no different, marking another new chapter for an outfit characterised by wild and inspiring unpredictability, along with a fresh triumph for one of modern music’s most iconoclastic forces.
The basis for ATGCLVLSSCAP – which the band has been working with under the moniker ‘12’ – arrives from recordings made at twelve different live shows that Ulver performed in February 2014, in which band the band vaulted into the deep end of an improvisatory approach to their performance. As Kristoffer Rygg, the prime mover of the band since its inception puts it wryly, “The tour was to be an experiment, kind of loose and scary for a band as ‘set in their ways’ as us.”
Although the line-up for these shows remained similar to that on 2012’s psychedelic covers album Childhood’s End, and the band had taken succour from the sounds and headspace they explored on that record, this was another break into new territory, using their live energy and spontaneity as the fuel for aural explorations that would surprise even the band themselves. “At the end of any album process, I can’t wait to do something else,” comments Rygg. ”So yeah, it is partly borne out of that feeling, being a bit bored with the circumstances. It was quite liberating to do something more in the moment. One night a jam could be five minutes, and the next it could be fifteen. We couldn’t have captured these songs in a studio environment.”
Once the tour was over, it was down to his bandmate Daniel O’Sullivan to take charge of these multitrack recordings, sculpting and editing hours of material in his North London enclave, formerly owned by charismatic artist and Coil associate, the sadly departed Ian Johnstone – as O’Sullivan noted, “The hungry ghosts of the now empty house appear to be burrowing into this record.” Anders Møller, Kristoffer Rygg and Tore Ylwizaker got involved a bit later, honing things from their end in Subsonic Society and Oak Hill Studios, Oslo, before the vinyl cutting process took place at THD Vinyl Mastering, also in Oslo, in which the band was fully involved in the crucial initial cut of the 14” lacquer. What resulted is the widescreen sweep and atmospheric splendour of ATGCLVLSSCAP, ultimately a piece of work that exists above and beyond any conventional live recording, rather a hallucinatory travelogue as potent an experience to bear witness to as it was to construct.
As always in the world of Ulver, influences are disparate and diverse, yet as Rygg notes, “It’s quite tributary in a way, there are clear nods to sounds from the past.” Many of these dwell in progressive, electronic and krautrock realms, heralding a lifelong love within the band for the music of the 70s – the fiery mantras of ‘Om Hanumate Namah’ and the motorik drive of ‘Cromagnosis’ draw an astral trajectory between the propulsion of Kraftwerk/Neu! and the ritualistic intensity of prime Amon Düül II, whilst the spirits of both Klaus Schulze and John Carpenter are audible in the electronic soundscapes of ‘Desert/Dawn’, not to mention the Bernard Herrmann touch in the closing ‘Solaris’. Even when the band revisits an earlier gem from 2000’s Perdition City album, as on ‘Nowhere (Sweet Sixteen)’, its reinvigorated by their expansive and emotionally charged approach.
“We always feel like, independently of what kind of instrumentation we use, we’re still playing the same nocturnal stuff,” laughs Rygg. “There are a few motifs that keep recurring all the time in what we do, and if it’s in a rock form or an electronic form, it’s always there.” Yet as true as this may be, by shaking up their creative process, the band have summoned up a unique testimony to the creative power of a mighty force who remain blissfully free of genre or convention, ATGCLVLSSCAP is progressive in the truest sense of the word, a record that may be this capricious band’s pièce-de-resistance.
